I'm David, the owner of Absolute Plumbing & Heating. I've been plumbing in and around Exeter since 2010 and I live in Stoke Canon, about 15 minutes from Exeter. When you ring, you speak to me, and I'm the one who turns up.
Exeter is a mix of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, post-war estates, student lets and new-build flats. The older houses often still have original stopcocks that seize, lead or galvanised pipe under the floor, and radiators that have never been balanced. How quickly can you get to Exeter?

What do you charge for a callout in Exeter?
£110 for an emergency callout, which includes travel, finding the fault and the first hour of work. After that it's £75 to £85 an hour. Booked, non-urgent jobs are quoted up front, and parts are always priced before they're fitted.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
I work with P Harman, a Gas Safe registered engineer, who carries out and signs off the gas work: boiler installations, repairs and annual servicing. We work together on projects, so you get one point of contact and the gas side certified under a current registration. His ID card is shown at the door and his registration can be checked on the Gas Safe Register. For oil boilers I trained with OFTEC and have years of hands-on experience, though I'm not currently OFTEC registered, so I'll tell you plainly if a job needs a registered installer to sign it off.
Do you do evenings and weekends?
My hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Outside those I can sometimes help by arrangement, so it's always worth a call. If I can't, I'll say so straight away.
